Few facts about Burj Khalifa A construction height is 828 meters, and 163 floors (9 floors of which are for maintenance) . Burj Khalifa is a collaborated project of few world famous companies: Emaar Properties, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, Samsung C&T. Construction started in Spetember 2010, and official opening ceremony was on 4th January 2010 . The first name was Burj Dubai or Dubai Tower. On the date of openning it was renamed in honour of the president of United Arab Emirates, Khalifa bn Zayed Al Nahyan. Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai Mall, or close to it.
